Trade Reporting and Compliance Engine® (TRACE®): The Trade Reporting and Compliance Engine is the FINRA developed vehicle that facilitates the mandatory reporting of over the counter secondary market transactions in eligible fixed income securities. All broker/dealers who are FINRA member firms have an obligation to report transactions in corporate bonds to TRACE under an SEC approved set of rules.
MSRB: Trade data is made available by the MSRB to provide price transparency to the municipal market. The Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) is the comprehensive source of data on daily municipal market transactions. The MSRB also provides all transaction data to municipal securities regulators charged with market surveillance, inspection for compliance and enforcement of MSRB rules. MSRB rules require municipal securities dealers to report most transactions to the MSRB within 15 minutes of the time of trade.
Agency Debt Trade Dissemination ServiceSM (ATDSSM): trade information for TRACE eligible U.S. agency bonds, which include U.S. dollar denominated debt securities issued (or guaranteed) by a U.S. federal agency or governmentsponsored entity (GSE), such as Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac, but exclude all asset-backed and mortgage-backed securities.
